DSS Nursery Bubble - Isolation??

So DSC attends nursery two days a week. One of the children in their bubble tested positive over the weekend. DSC had contact with the child on Friday, which is our day to pick them up from nursery. DSC Mum picked him up from ours the Saturday morning, and messaged us on Sunday to confirm that nursery had received news about the positive case, and that DSC needs to isolate for 10 days. She confirmed she's happy for normal contact to resume, but that obviously we can't take DSC out of the house.

Are we OK to go ahead with normal contact? We live 2-3 mins drive away from DSC's Mum, and we do not go out of the house at all other than a 30-min walk once or twice a week (WFH). Shopping gets delivered, but we wouldn't need anything prior to DSC's next visit.

What would you do?

The letters they send out say the person should isolate themselves from the rest of the household, wash the toilet behind them etc. So really their not fit for purpose for toddlers but you’ve already been exposed to anything anyway as you did Friday pick up. So I think contact between both of you can happen but you should not be going out even for a walk.

No going out for walks, and no shopping, but yes you can still have contact as usual.

I know that Covid rules allow contact to go ahead, but when someone has been asked to isolate I think it should be avoided if possible.

If she was exposed on Friday then she wouldn't be likely to be contagious when you had her. I honestly think whichever house a child is at when the call comes is where they should stay, there is no benefit in exposing two households. It's only 10 days.
