Tier 4 restrictions

Hi, new to this forum and hoping to get some advice!

My partner and I live separately, both Tier 4 but about 50 miles apart. We both live alone and are in a support bubble with each other.

He has teenage children, we are planning to see each other this weekend and he wants to go for walks with them and me. I know that as their parent he is allowed see them inside and outside but what about me? Does the rule of only seeing one person in Tier 4 outside apply for me?

I’ve been a rule follower the whole way through but not sure on this one! The children all had covid in early December so fairly low risk I guess. Is anyone in a similar situation and what would you do? I’ve gone cross eyed from reading and re-reading the advice... my partner would say I just need to chill out! I do have an underlying health condition and am about to start some new meds which put me into the vulnerable category so am naturally more risk averse than him.

You are counted as one household so could be around the kids, but you need to consider your own health needs and prioritise yourself if you are vunerable. No matter how careful the kids have been schools are showing to be hotspots for spreading covid.

Thanks, yes I agree. As they’ve had it they’re not particularly sticking to the rules eg one of the son’s girlfriends was with them all today and my partner merrily went along with it and said nothing which I find frustrating.
