DH and DSC Mum agreed a sort of two week on/two week off contact arrangement whilst the schools are off. She came off work as she’s pregnant so in the 12 week isolation group.
She speaks to DSC most days over FaceTime and I shit you not, is somewhere different every day. In her friends house, different shops, out walking with her friends. When she speaks to DH, she says things like “if people only listened when this started we wouldn’t have to lockdown completely”. But she’s not following any of it.
DSC obviously can’t go to school but they’re FaceTiming friends and grandparents etc instead. Try to get out for a walk most days but we’re very cautious and keep them well away from others. But they’re feeling the change definitely.
DH has kept his mouth shut so far but it wouldn’t be unreasonable to ask her to at least pretend she’s following guidelines when she’s talking to the kids? It’s really unfair for them and they’re quite confused about how her day seems totally normal!
