Hi if anyone else is going through the same I would love to hear from you - basically my current partner and I have been together a couple of years he has a child that is 8 , he has been going through a divorce ( almost at the end now yay !) and consent order and his ex has been to say the least an absolute night mare to the point it nearly broke us - I just wondered if anyone else had been through the same thing - sometimes it seems like your the only one - amidst all this learning to become a parent to my stepson for the first time ....

Hope things are not too bad for you. What trouble has the ex-wife been causing?
My DP's divorce from his toxic ex-wife came through at the end of last year, it was a great day :) We are going to keep that date for a special celebration each year (haha). Sadly she will never be completely removed from our lives as he has children with her.

We have a child together now, but for a while I was learning how to be a step-mum to his children. It really isn't easy and I am still learning now. It is a far more difficult role than being a mum to my own child, that's for sure!
