I have been with my partner over 2 years and we keep his 2 children 14 and 5 half the week. I got on so well with both of his children but recently the mother is going through court trying to take the kids away from there dad and I'm enemy always. But never to the kids until lately when the 5 y/o comes and he doesn't really talk to me and he has an attitude and has changed dramatically with me as we were once so so close I.e people said he was closer to me than his dad. His mum keeps telling him I'm not his step mum and he's told myself and his dad that she says it all the time. It's really upsetting me that he's changing with me and I get he must be confused if his mum is filling his head with nonsense. Does anyone have any advice? Now I feel like I should just stay back and basically blend into the back ground to safe the child being confused.
