So my newly turned threenager is very good. In fact he makes the 4yo look like a demon.
Recently he has started helping himself to anything and everything in the fridge, freezer and cupboards.
We have never really had sweet things in the house but now we are having to stop buying even yoghurts to try and prevent any temptation. We have told him off, stopped puddings for his actions etc but he keeps on doing it.
This morning I found him with fresh chicken and a bag of flour 😩
BTW he is well fed!

Fresh chicken and a bag of flour?!?

Nothisispatrick · 28/04/2018 10:06

What was he doing with the chicken and flour?

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 28/04/2018 10:09

😂😂😂

3 seems young to be doing this. My 11 year old can't keep his hands off the chocolate and crisps though which is fairly normal. Chicken and a bag of flour sounds like a wind up

Put a stairgate on the kitchen so he's not in there unsupervised.

bionicnemonic · 28/04/2018 10:16

Oh dear! That sounds messy! Padlocks?!

Jeni29 · 28/04/2018 10:18

Yes he had the chicken from the fridge and a bag of flour from the cupboard. That’s my point, I don’t know why??

I think the stair gate idea is the one to go with, he sussed the childlocks ages ago.

I was wondering if he had chicken and flour from watching me make salt and pepper chicken??

Teach him to read and give him a recipe book!

TwitterQueen1 · 28/04/2018 10:24

He's trying to cook OP! you have a budding chef in the family....

TwitterQueen1 · 28/04/2018 10:26

I would try doing some basics with him - scones for him to help mix and cut out, cakes, home-made sausage rolls etc.

Jeni29 · 28/04/2018 10:29

TwitterQueen1, that’s a great idea! I’ll incorporate it into a bribe, no taking food = baking later

Child safe cupboard latches?

Aridane · 28/04/2018 14:19

Bless him - he sounds adorable with his efforts at salt and pepper chicken
