To the Stepmothers on Mother's Day.

For all the shit you put up with, for the kids that believe "if daddy wasn't with this bitch, mammy and daddy would be together", for every "I don't have to listen to you, you're not my mother", for every reminder that you'rte not his ex, for every boundary push, for forgoing your dreams for the golden uterus, for coping with mini wives,

I SALUTE YOU STEPMOTHERS.

Please, treat yourself to some wine today Wine

?Hmm?

How much wine have you had already?

AccidentallyRunToWindsor · 11/03/2018 13:26

Either! Red in the winter, white in the summer, bubbles all year round.

Not Rose though 🤮 disagrees with me.

laloup1 · 11/03/2018 13:34

Cheers Peppers! I’m not sure my uterus ever had dreams of being golden. But I’ll drink to unsung heros!

NorthernSpirit · 11/03/2018 13:36

Thanks, same to you too!

Had my 2 DSC here this weekend (as their mum went off on a dirty weekend with her boyfriend this weekend). We had a wet the bed incident, skids in pants from a 12 year old and I ran round after them all weekend. I asked the 12 year old to strip the bed and it was so inconvenient for her.....

They left without saying goodbye (normal).

At least their dad thanks me for everything I do.

I definitely deserve Wine today. I've just taken DSD out for a driving lesson in my car. DH isn't keen to do this as he's a dreadful backseat driver nervous passenger and DSD's mum can't be arsed to sort out driving lessons so leaves that sort of thing to us. I think my nerves are still recovering though Shock WineWineBrewWine

wish i'd had a step mum like you guys!

LittleMe03 · 11/03/2018 16:57

We have SS this weekend. No big issues with him, adore the boy!

Wouldn't expect to get anything from him for Mother's Day because I'm not his mother.

Asked him to phone his mum this morning to wish her a happy Mother's Day and he has a card and pressie we picked together yesterday to take home to her when he goes at 6pm Smile

Justoneme · 11/03/2018 17:08

To all the fabulous step moms out there ... cheers 🍻 we bloody well deserve it!

ElChan03 · 11/03/2018 17:58

Here here! Here's to step mums and step dads. We are all fabulous! And Wine deserved all round, we deserve it.
Thank you for all the wonderful support that everyone gives to the posters on this board!

Candlelight, I do salute you for dedication. Going into the car with my DD when she just passed her test was one of the scariest day of my life. That's true love and I hope she's shown you her gratitude!

Candlelights · 11/03/2018 21:07

Thanks swing It was rather scary today. She's had some proper lessons and told me she "can drive now".... But hadn't entirely got the hang of steeringHmm

Still, I've had my Wine now Smile
