Hi new to this and have read some of the threads and realised i'm not an alien with wicked thoughts towards my dsd but.................. she is due to come over tonight fore the weekend and i am dreading it my dd is 8 and dsd is 6 some times they get along fine but other weekends they bicker and argue like mad!! and dh doesn,t help as there is a marked difference in how he treats my son and daughter when she comes over.We can,t talk about it as he becomes really defensive and accuses me of disliking his kids!! I am at the end of my tether and am really scared that i am starting to resent my dsd, oh and just to add i am 17weeks pregnant with our child help!!

Jen - I know that Friday feeling, I really do. Everyone else is looking forward to the weekend and you are just dreading it. Can you and your dp/h talk about it in the week, when both children are not around? What are the expectations - that everyone is one big happy family? Are you expected to all do things together? Sometimes it is the shortfall between the fantasy and the reality that is so hard to deal with.
