Problems with step daughters mother

history - I have 3 children , one of which is my step daughter. Myself and her father have had custody of my step daughter for 8 years. There has been no contact between my step daughter and her mother for this whole time. Step daughter is 9. The mother lives in same town as us. Step daughter does not recognise her. Mother has never sent letters, cards presents or paid maintenance. This suits us, she has has had problems with drugs, alcohol, and the police

Today I received a facebook message from an old school friend with a screen shot of step daughters bio mothers page.
It was pictures of my step daughter , from my own facebook page. My other two children have been cropped out of each picture and bio mothers status says ' My beautiful (stepdaughtersname) 😍😍 -cropped out the ugly one! 😂😂 '

I am raging!!!
How would you respond to this?
Can I get it removed?

As tempting as it would be to blast her over Facebook for a) making such a nasty comment about your children and b) being such a useless parent to her own just don't respond to it. It was said to wind you up and get a reaction. People who put stuff like this on FB thrive on attention, so don't give her what she wants.

I'm not sure if Facebook would remove it but you could always email them/ report it and see.

I have had her blocked from my facebook for years as I use to get a lot of abuse from her so can't report to facebook.
I know what you're saying is right - but I won't lie it's taken everything I've got not to rise to it. Pretty stressed at work at the moment as it is and with health. Received this screen shot during my first slimming world meeting this morning and lost all focus!
I can't believe she would call two innocent children ugly on the internet. I feel like I should defend them as they are my children but know that she would love the drama

Good lord! I assume she's still using drugs or is drunk as a skunk if she would dare to do that?!

Why is your old school friend friends with her iykwim?

The old school friend didn't know the situation, she stuck up for my children on the status and said it was wrong to say that about any child, bio mother messaged back saying she didn't care. Old school friend has removed waste of space. I've deleted 60 'old school friends' from my facebook this afternoon

Try and get the pictures removed by fb.

Tighten your security settings on FB so only friends can see your profile and pictures.

Don't respond to her or engage with her in any way. You do not need such a nasty person in your life.

Not sure there is much you can do except tighten up you privacy settings to stop her being able to see the pictures.

I think you need to do more than block her, you need to really tighten you're settings. I think you've made the mistake as she should never have had access to the pictures. She may make a fake account or get family members to keep looking at your account so you need to tighten things up.

Make sure none of your FB friends have any connection with her (friends in common etc). If they have, you have to delete them!

Yes tighten security! See this as a warning sign that may save future grief and make sure she is never able to gain any sort of access again. You could report pics to fb and get them removed. Make sure you are set to not be found on searches, and posts and pics are for friends only not friends of friends. Then sift anyone out who may be her fb friend.

It is horrible that she's done this. But engaging with her would be futile.

I would actually not post pics of the kids, your own and hers, on fb I'm afraid. Best if no one can send them to her.
