Happy New Year to all the step-mummy's - how is everyone?

Did everyone survive the busy Christmas holidays? I had sometimes enjoyable and sometimes extremely stressful holiday. Had both dsc for the week from 24th onwards. Ds's first Christmas somewhat overshawdowed but i suppose he is only 10months and the older ones had a ball.

Am still frazzled but cheering up slowly. Hope everyone is well, this site seems really quite compared to a few months ago but maybe that's a good sign???

Hi Roo, glad to hear you had a nice Christmas, I'm new here but have introduced myself in post below, lol.

We had a good Christmas, just the 3 of us though, dh's xp has just had baby with new partner and dsk's wanted to stay with baby which is completely understandable, dh travelled to see them day after boxing day, they live approx 200 miles away, I never know how far it is but have just asked dh.

They are coming to stay for the week in Feb half term, also having my sister who is the same age as sd, 5 days between them.

If you ever wanna chat, you can add me to msn [email protected]

Hi Roo, I'm still here. It has gone quiet hasn't it? Squirrel isn't around any more and I haven't seen NAAM for ages.

Things are good in the surfer household. We had dsd from Boxing Day for a week and had a great time. And when dh dropped her off he talked to her mum about the dates we're having her next year and she's agreed them all no arguing, even a change to the Court Order so we get dsd for 2 consecutive weeks in the summer holidays, not two separate ones. Long may it last!

I'm just planning our first getaway of the year to Cornwall at the end of the month to celebrate my birthday with some friends.

How are things with you?

Hi Roo, I've been with dh for 7 1/2 years and something just clicked while I read the posts on this forum. I was always nervous when they came to stay as other factors got in the way, but now I'm just gonna enjoy their company and the time we have with them.

Hi Surfermum, nice to meet you too xx
