And im not going to apologise for using this term, i am furious.
DSS is a teenager today, BM phoned him and asked what he wanted for his birthday.
What has he received, abosolutely eff all, not even a card.
And no this is not a one off, he was promised money to be sent for a trip he was going on, nothing appeared, last years christmas pressie arrived in January!
Im furious because he is going to be sooo hurt and he bottles it up!
In fact change birth to bitch!

Did you speak to his mum, or just your dss? I'd be furious on his behalf as well - how can she be so unfeeling?

I'd be inclined to phone her, ask how much she wants to spend, go and buy him somehing for that sum on her behalf, wrap it and do a card from her as well, if you think he'd be fooled by that.

No contact at all with her, DP doesn't have any contact either, its just DSS.
She buggered off a year ago and gave DP one days notice that he would have ds full time (he was delighted tho) She hasnt' seen her son since.
Just irregular phone calls, maybe about half dozen since she left.
She's still his mum though and its gonna hurt him big time 'again' !

But will you ring her/fake a present from her for dss's sake?

appreciate why you might not be inclined to.

hoolagirl · 15/12/2006 12:08

She hasnt' seen him since she left him over a year ago, so unfortunatly thats not going to happen.

DP wouldn't allow it to be honest and DSS would know if he spoke to his mum that it wasnt from her. He's been let down before, stupid to think his birthday would be any different.
Neither me or DP have a number for her, only DSS.
Just managed to get an address through a third party to get divorce proceedings started.
