Advice Please

My Dad has looked after me and my 4 siblings after my mum walked out many years ago (without a word). He has always informed us (well in the begining)as to where my mum lived etc...But i seem to have an overwelming desire since having my children to contact my favourite aunt on mums side, although i dont wish to contact my mum.

As upon becoming a parent i cannot understand her actions but always loved my aunt and dont want to upset my Dad or Step Mom or put overwelmimg pressure on my aunt Am i best to leave it? My Dad did give me her number but i know him and my step mom had a row and i dont want to ruin his future x

I dont understabd my desire to do this and love my Dad to the end of the earth and back, he has really given everything! x help me please i dont know what to do

Yes i would, it is not a reflection on your relationship with your father, i think the Americans call it Closure .
You should find out what your mother is all about and the rest of your family should trust you enough to konw that it has no reflection on how you feel for them. I believe we all have to challenge ourselves to the very end degree and be at peace. I also believe that is the way you find a still heart and live with the person you are.

Well i suppose that is the difficult area i have given closure (and a piece of my mind to my mother). She felt that her issues were not addressed by my Dad, dispite him working all hours gods sends for a wage he could assertain, and telling her she was beautiful every five mins even after 19 years of marriage and at least 5 affairs on her part. she admits he never had one but she wanted more.

Which led to her hooking up with a cockey a*se who has been there and done everything ten times better than anyone!

To be fair my Mother was a figure of absoult beauty although she knew it ! and i believe this to to be pillar of frustration to my step mom. But as you can understand i dont want to harm my Dads relationship x
