my father passed away a few years ago, now sadly his mum(my gran) has just passed. my aunt is asking for his death certificate, should i be suspicious? dont want to ask why until i suss it out, as havent spoken for eight years

Who's her executor? Is there a step-family element to this or did you post in the wrong topic?

I would speak to a solicitor. Perhaps she needs it coz your dad is still on your grans will but definitely speak to a solicitor. I think u can get an hours free consultation. If it is that then I don't know what happens with whatever your gran left your dad but u would think it would go to you and your siblings. Sorry for your loss.
