What are your New Years plans?

What are yours?

This year we're just having a quiet one with all the children. We're probably going to lay out a bit of a buffet and watch a couple of movies - so nothing spectacular but enjoyable all the same. :)

After ex insisting on having the dsc every nye because apparently they hate it with us, as ex has now chosen to work nye, apparently they're happy to come to us. My ds will be at his dads.

We normally stay in anyway as we think nye is overrated. We have a wild night planned with a jigsaw puzzle

We are going to the panto in the morning and then out for lunch.

Then put the dcs to bed and a nice meal for us.

Totally agree with you, redhen nye is a bit over-rated! We can never make it to midnight, gets to 10pm and we are ready for sleeps, and that includes DSS16, he isn't the party-on-down type, not yet anyway.

Your plans sound really nice writingblock, we may go to a film during the day now you mention that idea.

Just asked them what they fancy doing, and it was met with grunts all round, so I guess its a few bevvies at home and snoring by 10pm as normal!

After 10 days with DSC they are going back tomorrow. And my DC due back on the 1st meaning we have a whole day and night to ourselves Going out to a friend's for dinner.

DP and I seem to have my DC and his DC yet again, so night in with fizz and a movie for us! Maybe next year we'll be able to get the other parents to have them.... Who am I kidding?!

We're going to a cottage in the country with two other couples. One of which is DSS's mum and step dad! There'll be 6 children including DSS, his half sister and step sister. Plus the other couple's children. Plus our dog. Should be fun, we are all bringing games and booze and we are going to have a raclette ie shitloads of melted cheese and potatoes. Mmm.

Tomorrow is Xmas Day for me, DD and DH (DD arrived back from her Dads today).
We'll do pressies and Xmas dinner during the day (I've just filled DDs stocking) and the evening will be movie/board game with nibbles and wine/fizz

It's unlikely that DH will hear anything from his DCs.
