I am lucky I don't have to deal with too much from the darling skids but it's fast approaching that time of the year wen I know the delightful teens will be descending on us if only for one day. Tips please on how to get through and on how not to let it spoil the day for myself as I'm already starting to dread the whole thing!

What are you specifically dreading?

I know that sinking feeling of the atmosphere of your home totally changing. I would structure the day so that they would go out (cinema/walk) etc sometime in the afternoon so I got time to breathe. Could that work?

My dsc are lovely but I am still feeling the dread of having them here for a whole week over Xmas.
Agree with getting out of the house as much as possible and keeping them occupied.
I have also agreed to work some extra shifts over Xmas just to give myself a few hours away from the house. That's quite sad isn't it Grin
