Dsd HATES everything today!!!

Just need a rant. I love DSD but today she hates everything! Including water, squash, coke,lemonade. The only thing she wants is Dr Pepper which we don't have.
She is being a complete and utter bitch today and needs a slap!
She slept in her clothes last night after a party (she's 12) and is now refusing to even change her pants.

Remind me how to detach ladies because today I do not have the patience for her spoilt bratty behaviour!!

She won't eat because we don't have any marks and Spencer's food (we never do so not sure why the new obsession).

She went mental because we left the party at 2 am and wouldn't stay any later.

What a great start to 2013 a spoilt little brat acting like she owns the universe!!!

Gosh rant over, hope you all had a great night and are having a nice relaxing stress free day today

late night, probably a mad busy two weeks and an.awkward age. do your own thing and leave her be she will snap out of it when she realises it doesnt wkrk but dont indulge her at all by getting any of the stuff. can see your irk about the clothes though i despise people going to bed in ckothes rather than pjs and hate "pj days" with a passion. its daytime so get dressed is my mantra . chin up, have a bru. this too shall pass

Thanks for the reply. I know she will snap out of it it's just annoying today when we had plans to go out and do things and she is being so silly and moody so we won't go out

I really don't like people sleeping in their clothes either. She does it a lot but it would be nice if she had a wash, brushed her teeth and put on clean clothes, I'm sure it would put her in a better mood.

i must say it a million times especially in the holidays. there is no reason not to be washed and dressed at lunchtime it is awful wish i could ban daytime pj wearing . if i were you i would still go out and enjoy yourselves, if she wants to sulk her way through the day then fine but she doesnt spoil it for eveyone else. hope it goes ok

She didn't even wake up until 1pm. Dp has cooked her a pizza, it's basically so if she decides she hates pizza then we can repeat that the next time she asks for it instead of vegetables

I sound like a wicked step mum today but I do so much and so well at detaching normally that I just needed to seriously rant

Trust me mutt I only sit back because she is my dsd not dd and it does make a difference.

I have to leave a lot of it up to dp because he is her dad and he has no problem with duvet days etc.
I enforce rules that I find important in our home. But I try and forget a lot of things and chill out when dsd is involved. It tends to make for a less stressful life I find

Stick the kettle on, sit down and watch a cheesy movie, have a bath, cook or do something to get on with your life and just let her be. She is probably tired and knows she is behaving badly. Ignore her and when she is back to normal, have a chat with her about her behaviour.

I just had a glass of Ribena for myself left it on the side and left the room for a second. On coming back she'd drank the lot, so much for hating Ribena!!
She just needs to get back to school I think. She works well with routine and I think she just needs it back.
Thank you for not slating me, I have already calmed down a lot and sitting down to watch a film.
Even dp is pretty much ignoring her moaning which is a miracle

Think they all go through this, i go through weeks and weeks of oh i dont like this and used to pander to it with my ds and with sc. Now i say do you think im stupid you ate that last week/mum says you eat that all the time. Luckily we do talk and compare notes and its not unsual to have two completly different sets of things i hate/things i love

I know it just does my head in gradually.
To say she hates coke today was ridiculous because she was drinking it last night, and everyday for the previous 10 years.
She just likes to be awkward.
She went back to her mums at 5pm but has already called my dp to get him to pick her back up because she 'hates her mum'
We are not picking her up!

Sounds like an unhappy little girl who is really testing the boundaries. It's up to your dp and her mum to deal with it but unfortunately you're left with the consequences. I'd be inclined to leave the food and drink completely to your dp.

I don't think she is unhappy. She is unfortunately very spoilt by dp and her step dad, they have a bit of a buy-off rivalry and so she gets whatever she wants whenever she wants. She is fine tonight, she baked me a cake with her mum (really love her mum sometimes) so I think she feels bad.

We muddle on she is drinking squash and about to eat fajitas so I think she's over it

Sounds like it, sometimes kids just play up there doesnt always have to be a reason behind it. glad she is over it and back to herself. good stuff on the cake too
