Crashes open the front door, screaming at dsd, you could have opened the door you queer! Stomps upstairs, closely followed by ds in tears!

Shall I ask him to move his poo stained pants we've all had to look at all week now, or wait until later?

Happy families :s

Oh God..... Do you wish you'd never bothered? Grin

I'm so glad you said that, because sometimes i wonder. The changeover time is the totally worst, when they come back from their mums. Because of course she is the best mum in the world and I am the wicked step mother.

It mostly calms down a bit when they get into our routine again! But I loathe Friday nights with a passion Hmm

This will be no consolation but handover day is hell here too and we are the 'home' family. I feel your pain.

mrsmopsmissingmojo · 24/08/2012 18:31

littleblue we are home family too!!! Dss lives with us, dsd eow. We've shared the holidays, a week on a week off and it's worked better than any other summer we've done. He's calmed down now but my lord he is very hard going.

Oh, then we really feel the same pain - sorry for assuming, it was because you said 'every friday night' so I thought he was just coming to you for weekends.

Our summers are hell, DSS spends three of the six weeks with mum and although it is done that way because it is 'fair' he doesn't really like to be away so much in such a run. He'd be better off with a fortnight away in summer then an extra week another time but her work doesn't allow. It's grump central round here for the first bit of summer. He's back now right til school starts and boy am I pleased the coming and going is finished!

My ds (11) went off with his dad this evening. Tears. Didn't want to go.

It's awful. But, he needs to keep the relationship with dad going.

mrsmopsmissingmojo · 24/08/2012 19:16

It's like a military operation isn't it! Hmm

Dss mum couldn't cope with his behaviour so he lives with us, but sees her every other wkd. His sisters come here every other wkd. The girls are pretty ok, but maurice is a trial. Then of course my 4 go to see their dreadful father every other weekend, so friday nights ate literally change over! The exs occasionally meet on the doorstep! Confused

We don't yet tears now going to see daddy. But oh do I have to go Its soooooo boring. Tbh I'm only making them go because it gives me a break from dsc too! Is that bad mummy if me. We have 10 Dcs together in all! Blush
