Things are back to the way they were [err] we've not heard from DSD since - I'm wondering if she will actually show up next week ?

DSS is due later today though, so we might hear about some of the fallout

Oh that's a bit rubbish. Poor Dp , and poor you having started to egt your head around the upheaval for such an anti-climax... I hope she turns up. let us know.

I think this is easier to deal with tbh - if he and DSD can slowly rebuild their relationship it will probably be more genuine and lasting than if she ran away from her mum and he was the only person to run to.
It also gives me time to prepare DD for DSD being an active part of our family (and deal with myself!)

I just hope that DSD doesn't fall into the trap you experienced and blame herself for the abuse she is subject to

I guess that's what I assumed had happened but yes you are right, better this way as its more genuine. Hope she comes !
