Posted a query in legal money matters asking if we could get info from college on our SSs exam results now he is over 18 - and immediately get the 'so you don't want to pay maintenance' remark.

I really should know better.

Just saw your thread. What a joke - £900pm month and he's not even there most of the time. She must be laughing all the way to the bank. How frustrating for you not to even be able to find out what is happening.

The really annoying thing is that she does not seem to care about SS - just about getting the money. Although he was living with her (supposedly) last year she did not check he was attending college and keeping up with his work.

God this is shocking. I can't beleive that receiving £900 a month from someone doesn't mean you have the common courtesy to respond when they contact you.

I would say she definitley has something to hide.

Being a bit fo a softy though I would warn her before you go down the official route as if she has been claiming CB then she'll be in a hell of a lot of trouble.
