Grrr, no respect for our home!

Is this common? It's just really getting to me at the moment.

SS' mum doesn't seem to respect that our home is, well, our home. It's like we don't exist and don't deserve any consideration.

So today she took him to charity shops, let him buy massive stack of CRAP and then sends him home with it.

I am sorry if this seems small and petty, but it's our home and we never send crap over to her house - we encourage SS to be really sensible and we would never send him over with a big stash of charity shop rubbish. Of course he takes special things and toys move between houses but not just junk. If it's a big item we check with her ffs! Now we have to find space for it which will involve a row of chucking out other stuff to make space.

Basically we respect her home and her needs but she doesn't seem to give a shit about ours.

Can't you send it back as "his stuff" next time he goes back to her?

Not easily, as he goes straight from school and has more than enough to carry as it is.

It's seems silly reading back my grumpy post but just this time it really got me - he's got mountains of xmas stuff and then this stuff on top!

We decided to deal with it just like we would if my mum had done it (quite feasible, she's a charity shop demon) and said 'if you're bringing all that new in you need to chuck out some old to make space'. It's sorted!
