Dsd is currently lying on the settee, still in her PJs, refusing to get in the bath to have her nits done, and now has a bell in her hand that she's ringing when she wants toast and coke brought to her...

... but it's dh's first Christmas with her for 8 years and he's soooooo happy to have her here. And so am I.

We never thought this would ever happen. Her mum even brought her to us a day early as she was local. We've come a long way from the awful Court proceedings and the constant animosity from her mother. So Happy Christmas to all you step-mums, if you're having a hard time over contact or with BMs, hang on in there, things do improve. Wishing you all a peaceful New Year.

Love Surfy xx

Has she really got a bell or are you joking?

Frostythesurfmum · 23/12/2005 11:58

No, she does have a bell! But she's doing it for a laugh. Dh keeps saying "Yes, Mi'lady" Parker style and is currently trying to get her to say "One would like some coke please Parker".

Thanks! Think I'll be Ok if I can steal and hide the darn bell.

That's brilliant. I wouldn't hide the bell - I'd nick it myself and have them both running around after you!!! G&T please Parker...

Have a great Christmas - what a lovely story.
