ok, quick history, dsd is 15, lives with mum, mum moved last year to sleepy boring village... We live about 40 mins away on train and a couple of years ago i got her used to coming on train alone...

Sporadic visits, often last minute but thats dp all over too... Mum, dsd and dp all laid back types, me and ds(11) are quite organised types...

Anyway, dsd has declared that she wants to live with us next year after gcse's and while that would be a real pita its something i will support...

Main problem is dsd hasnt visited for 6 weeks and was due tomorrow for a few days, she has now said she wants to come on monday but hasnt confirmed for sure... We have photo shoot booked for tues so hopefully here then! We have a dd who is 11 months too btw...

Dp is feeling guilty about not seeing dsd and is being a right grumpy sod and moaning at ds who is being a typical pre-teen! He's like this when she leaves too... He's stormed off upstairs...

I am really fed up with this...arghhhhhhh

This happens all the time with a teenage DSD - Visits need scheduling around her busy social life and I suspect she's just got a better offer.

I've been in your current position so many time before its unreal. Come and have a glass in the Wine Drinking Club.
