I posted here a few weeks ago to say my partner and i were off to court. I later reported that in court i had been accused of being a mentally ill drunk. Anyway we have been to court for the section 120 report that cocluded that her accusations were completely ridiculous (need i be suprised).
Anyway neither party could agree on an interim contact order while cafcass do there reports.
What does this mean? Why has it been sent there and what do we now do?

Please if anyone can help.

The Cafcass officer will make arrangements to see your partner and the child's mother, the child and any other relevant adult (eg school, nursery, possibly grandparents).

The report will make a recommendation about contact and in the vast majority of cases, the court will go along with what the Cafcass officer recommends.

The court should have specified a date for the filing of the report, and a further date a week or so later for everyone to come back for a further directions hearing. If at that hearing you still can't agree then the Court will set the matter down for a final hearing.

Cafcas will also do a police check on all adults who have an influence on the Childs life so mum dad step mum and dad grandparents aunts and uncles if left in their care etc
