My dp has a son from a previous relationship who is 11 yrs old...his ex married another man shortly after dss was born and they had another son...they have since split and that is the only reason that dp was allowed to then see his son..we have been seeing dss for the past four years now and all was ok, but now her ex-husband is refusing to pay maintenance for her other son and she asked us to increase her payments...we cannot give her any more than we are at the moment and the kids only stay with her about 3/4 days a week as they stay with their gran and dads. She then kicked up a fuss, threw some insults around etc, etc. they then went on holiday for two weeks and dp never even had as much as a phone call to let him know dss was ok. They live five mins from us and dp saw him the other nite and stopped the car to say hi, he then went and told his mum and she sent him a text message to say he wasnt to approach his son in the street again Any time she decides to kick up a fuss dp's relationship with his son suffers and he practically has to force him to come to our house at the weekends..hes now decided not to force him to come and has told him he can come up and stay whenever he likes but we havent heard anything from him...we have a dd who is 6 and a ds who is 3 months old...should we make him come up to ours at the weekends and hope it gets better or leave him to come round??? sorry for such a long post....
