2 - 0 at the moment.

I think that Germany are playing really well.

i'm an aussie for the night - not too suprised at rhe score so far

MmeLindt · 13/06/2010 20:28

Ah, sorry Nancy.

My DH is German so it is clear who we are supporting tonight.

Just managed to get DS off to bed, he was not happy at missing the game.

Since I am alone here, I will sing a wee song

Ein Rudi Völler, es gibt nur ein Rudi Völler, ein Rudi Vöööööööööller, es gibt nur ein Rudi Vöööller

I can't get into it at all either. I'm quite intrigued by those horns everyone keeps going on about (haven't watched a single second so far), but that's about it. DD1 was allowed to stay up late to watch the match last night (at my ILs) and was really interested in it apparently, asking lots of questions - doesn't take after me at all!

Last time was slightly more exciting as the Italian team were staying at a hotel just round the corner from where we live. Lots of policemen everywhere, big screens constructed all around the hotel so you couldn't see in (not that I would have recognised any of the Italian players).

Me too MmeL - they looked quite promising at the start. The red ard was far too harsh - even the German ZDF commentator thought so.

LinzerTorte · 13/06/2010 21:00

Oh, you all seem to be getting into it now. I wish I could persuade DH to get into it as I might actually be able to MN in the evenings then. No sign so far, however...

MmeLindt · 13/06/2010 21:06

Bagels are similar to Brezel are they not? Are they put in a solution of water and soda?

MmeLindt · 13/06/2010 21:07

Linzer
Oooh, Italian team around the corner sounds good. They are seriously FIT.

Drinks on me for the rest of the evening!

Help yourself to a Brezel.

When the commentator said "Every generation mirrors the one before" or something like it, did anyone else feel the urge to sing "and all of their frustrations/ Come beating on your door" ?....
