Wednesday with a nice 5-0 win today
Dismal Gladbach will loose against Hoffenheim tomorrow.

Kirbert2 · 17/10/2026 19:45

Huh. We actually beat Plymouth 2-0. Best we've played all season.

TheSleepingGiant · 17/10/2026 20:34

We lost 3-1, days after Ainsworth said we are the best club in league 2 🤔

ElizaSchuyler · 17/10/2026 20:40

1-0 win. Phew. Plus a moving tribute to our ex captain. Taken far too young.

Cuwins · 18/10/2026 14:29

Well 3-0 up in 10mins is some scoreline at the Amex! Loving this!

Tarkan · 18/10/2026 15:58

Another weekend with one win, one draw and one loss for my three teams.

Cuwins · 18/10/2026 16:00

Absolutely fabulous 5-0! What a brilliant start to the season. Now just to keep it up through the winter which is our normal poor time

Kirbert2 · 17/10/2026 14:59

I'm not looking forward to this. Our best 2 defenders went off injured last week against Sheffield Wednesday and I have a feeling Plymouth are going to beat us comfortably.

I'm also expecting Bali Mumba to do something stupid against his old team. Red card? Own goal? Don't know why, just a feeling.

Cheers very much for helping us go top 😉

If City get a points deduction this season which sticks and is not overruled by the courts or an appeal, could be your chance of Champions League football.

That would be brilliant but not something I would even think about until I see how we get through Dec!

We'll get you in 2 weeks. 😛

Good result for Manchester United. They are progressing slowly and there's always the next match.

Very possibly, but for now I'd like to enjoy it 😊

You absolutely should! All jokes aside, yes, Bradford could do with scoring a few more goals but your defence is outstanding. Without a doubt another top 6 season for you if not top 2.

Scoobydoobydoo19 · 18/10/2026 17:49

We scored two yesterday! TWO! I thought I was going to have a nosebleed or something.

TheNewGaard · 18/10/2026 18:35

Phew! That was hard work against Forest. Fortunately we got the goal (and didn't concede). We need to get our mojo together and start playing, well, better...

Yes, one shot on target.

I suppose we weren't wasteful.

Bit of a slog, we need to play better.
i’ll admit i am finding it hard to get into the season with the City stuff still going on.
if they appeal and it drags on it just makes a mockery of the whole season.

Haha same.
Draw for Biro, win for Wednesday and a woeful loss for Gladbach.

6th loss in a row, 0 points. And the Stadium not full (to be fair of the 5,000 allocation Hoffenheim brought 250. Dire)

I can't see us picking up any points soon so that's us relegated I feel.

TheBabyFatmoss · 19/10/2026 08:06

Disastrous Sunday for Palace but I suppose that’s what happens when you sell your best defenders and replace them with inexperienced youngsters. Sick of our new manager being blamed, managers can only play the players they have IMO. We do this every season and have been lucky to get away with for the last couple of years but I think our chickens are coming home to roost. 😣🥲

I know what you mean - it's like it has already rendered this season almost meaningless, because nobody knows what is going to happen and it is bound to impact all clubs one way or another. I was chatting about it today with some colleagues who all support different Premier League clubs (Arsenal, Spurs, Brentford, Liverpool, Brighton) and we all feel exactly the same way.

Exactly, friends of mine who support other teams feel the same. The only ones who don’t are the City fans.
If they get away with just a fine it’s a joke as they have so much money, taking the titles off them retrospectively means nothing, they’ve celebrated those titles.
If they decide on a points deduction then it needs to be swift so the rest of the teams are playing for something that matters and can reap the rewards should they win.

Another nice tribute to Doug Loft last night at the start of the Gillingham Port Vale match, the 1-1 result seemed quite fitting.

ElizaSchuyler · 21/10/2026 12:13

I missed the very start of the match on TV and the tribute. Were his family there? They were at Vale last Saturday and it was heartbreaking. They played Love Will Tear US Apart as it had been a Lofty fan chant and at the end of the match the fans spontaniously started to sing it.

It was very fitting that his two former clubs play each other last night so they cold pay tribute together. Also Gareth Ainsworth is a well loved former Vale player so a lot of respect.

Gutted about the penalty though.

Kirbert2 · 21/10/2026 15:13

It's so weird, I felt we played better at Plymouth but 'only' beat them 2-0 yet was able to play more average with good moments and beat Peterborough 4-1. 😂

Sanches Fernades is such a special player. I half expect him to be gone in the January window so enjoying him whilst I can!
