does this look like a fractured foot or just bruised?

Probably fractured but X-ray might not show until the swelling goes down. Get some ice on it and elevate it, take ibuprofen (if not asthmatic), and go to minor injuries to be checked

Could be a sprain, could be a fracture, could be a bruise. How is weight bearing and flexibility? Ice and elevation, with some gentle movement.

Eh? Swelling doesn't affect visibility of fractures. Noone can tell if it isn't based on a photo. Inability to weight bare is a good indicator
