Has anyone been to the Grand Prix at Silverstone? I bought tickets for DD and boyfriend for tomorrow. I got the roving grandstand ticket - does anyone know how it works? Do people choose a seat and leave stuff there to keep it for the day or do you just wander around and hope you can get a seat? There’s not much info on the website to help - any advice welcome!

i think on the Friday you can use any of them, but the best ones (start / finish area) get fuller quicker. It’s been a few years since I’ve been though.

First come first serve on seats we went in 2019. You can’t leave your stuff and wonder off you’re likely not to see it again but you can wonder round and sit in other stands. To be fair the stands were fairly empty wherever we went.
