F1 2025 - Watchalong Thread

Happy New Year.

We start with the first all teams season launch on 18 February. Ferrari reveal their 2025 car the day after.

Pre season testing will take place on 26 to 28 February in Bahrain. Australia will host the opening race on Sunday March 16th.

My brother says its raining at Silverstone. Might make for an interesting quali.

Ollie bearman handed 10 place grid penalty and 4 points on his licence. Seems a bit harsh.

That was tense. Just tiny mistakes. . Max - well done.
Such a shame Ollie has a penalty.

2 points last time for not obeying the red flag, obviously didn’t learn from that so 4 points seems reasonable.

What’s going on with Bearman and red flags?? Is it him or is it his race engineer/team not advising him? He did exceptionally well in Q3.

Exciting quali even if Max isn’t who I wanted to get pole. No doubt Russell got the best lap possible out of the car. He seemed surprised with P4 in the post quali interviews.

Ollie must be kicking himself for making such a stupid mistake. It was crazy how on TV they just suddenly showed his car with the front missing and no context. Still, P8 was excellent and shows his potential.

I’m kind of hoping for rain during the race to mix thing up. No way are all 20 cars going to finish.

Did anyone hear Max’s giggle over the radio when he entered the pit lane after Ollie? Not a Max fan but he does get an unfairly hard press (he was really nice to Kimi after their crash). Max getting the giggles is infectious.

Watching F3 at the moment and it is very wet at the track right now. They’ve had to red flag the race due to conditions. I want some weather for the race but not enough to stop it.

Thank you for the update - it’s like having our own weather reporter. I hope you are not getting too wet.

I agree I want enough rain to level the playing field but not too much so they red flag it. Plus apparently Max’s car is set for a dry race so rain would impact the handling.

F2 has just finished it's very wet indeed. I am soaked through and feeling pretty sorry for myself - jeans were a very bad choice! Really hoping it clears up just for my own comfort.

I should have said I was watching F3 on TV. I’m watching from my sofa in Australia, not at Silverstone 😁

I think rain mixes things up so i’m all for it. I’ve been at the British GP when it’s poured down so I feel for anyone there without cover BUT I still wish I was there.

Most of the national anthem renditions are bad. I don’t understand why they just don’t get a group of kids in to sing it, that always goes down well.
