Happy New Year.

We start with the first all teams season launch on 18 February. Ferrari reveal their 2025 car the day after.

Pre season testing will take place on 26 to 28 February in Bahrain. Australia will host the opening race on Sunday March 16th.

@JamesWebbSpaceTelescope You are right on second viewing.

So Kimi gets his first podium.

What is the age for drinking alcohol in Canada? Is Kimi legally allowed to drink the champagne?

Ouch for McLaren. I think Oscar squeezed Lando.

No way!

No way!

I’ve said on second viewing that wasn’t the case.

They have had underage drivers before so I think it’s ok. Plus I don’t think they have more than a mouthful.

Well done George, Max and Kimi. Nice to have a different top 3 and it indicates the drivers championship could still have a few surprises.

Carlos got a point, which i# good after qually and Fernando finished 7th. Not good for Ferrari.

Urgh

That’s what caused his damage and lack of downforce. I expect they were told to keep quiet if that happened as they may end up with Animal rights protesters.

Brazilianadventure · 15/06/2025 21:30

I do feel for the ground hogs for 51 weeks they have relative tranquility and suddenly these loud fast hazards turn up.

DS said oh poor groundhog. Sadly he'll be dead again tomorrow

We’re planning for Montreal next year. I’m in the same country and it’s still a four hour flight!!

Pleased for George and Kimi today. Toto made the right call with him.

I bet he hated that. Even Roscoe is vegan.

Nico is back - very clear Hadjar says No to RB if they want to swap him with Yuki.

Someone on X pondered if JB was doing Le Mans to avoid Danica 😂.

Couldn’t blame him

F1 Movie premier tonight. It looks like the drivers and team personnel were all on the same flight to NYC. Craig Slater from Sky was doing roving interviews on the plane.

Sadly Carlos Sainz SNR has withdrawn for FIA president race. So MBS is probably going to continue and make it even more of a dictatorship.

Rachel Brookes has done a lovely piece on being in the F1 film. https://www.skysports.com/f1/news/12536/13388065/f1-the-movie-brad-pitt-damson-idris-kerry-condon-what-it-is-like-to-be-in-the-new-film-alongside-hollywood-stars

Race weekend ahead. It’s a sprint weekend and Max is still one point away from a ban.

I think CH and RB made themselves look like prats by objecting to George behind the safety car. Apparently Max had no idea so he wasn’t involved.

Oh that’s disappointing. He would’ve been perfect for the role.

CH always comes across as a sneaky little shit stirrer.

Actually Austria isn’t a sprint weekend this year.

My gut feeling is for a Lando bounce back win but that’s just a guess. I’m mostly just glad I have a European time race again. Waking up to watch Montreal live in Australia was brutal. Was happy to see a different team / win for a change.

For Lewis’ sake I hope he got rid of his bad luck last week with the sadly deceased groundhog.

Brazilianadventure · 26/06/2025 09:34

@bluetongue thanks for the correction I obviously looked at the wrong race weekend timings.

Saw the movie last night. Totally unrealistic and many will hate it for it, but I found it to be a frothy bit of good fun. The storyline is old hat and lots of it is like an F1 driver once had a drug induced dream about how to stretch the rules beyond breaking point to win but the action sequences are well shot and I found it kept me entertained for 2.5hrs.

Brazilianadventure · 26/06/2025 23:42

I suspected you would need to treat it like top gun, unrealistic manoeuvres etc. so suspend reality and go with the flow. I’m looking forward to seeing it next week.

Good work for Alex Dunne to be fourth in practice. Can only imagine how amazing it must be to get to a chance to drive a Formula 1 car.
