Happy New Year.

We start with the first all teams season launch on 18 February. Ferrari reveal their 2025 car the day after.

Pre season testing will take place on 26 to 28 February in Bahrain. Australia will host the opening race on Sunday March 16th.

Love Lewis with his ‘have a tea break while you’re at it’ 🤣

And “shall I let him (Sainz) past as well”. Love snarky Lewis.

Haven’t Williams done well though!

Brazilianadventure · 04/05/2025 22:35

Well done Oscar @ReginaaPhalangee you must be happy.

I agree well done to the Williams.

Yet again George getting a podium, just steadily accruing points.

The good news for Ferrari is Lewis has been competitive with Charles. The bad news is Ferrari are not quick enough..

Williams have done well, be good to see a Williams driver on the podium again, maybe in a couple of years they'll be fighting for wins.
Still a chance of a penalty for George..

sparkellie · 04/05/2025 22:39

Lewis' radio is 🔥 today. I can understand his frustration though. Ferrari are going to have to up their game as the season goes on, no one gained from the mess that was today.
Piastri managed that well, and was in control start to finish. If he carries on like this Mclaren will have to back him later in the season.

midlandsmummy123 · 04/05/2025 22:42

I don't think thats an easy decision for McLaren - they are all about equal treatment and fair play these days long gone are the days with dodgy photocopies.

Edited

It’s Ferrari strategy again. If they had let Lewis through straight away he would have pulled Charles along and they may have both overtaken Kimi.

I hate all the X comments that Lewis should have stayed at Merc. I think he was right to move.

I just hope they get the 2026 car right.

Absolutely.
I think at this stage driving for ferrari was a dream, and I can understand him wanting to see that through as he gets to the end of his career. I hope he can drag ferrari's strategy up a bit, he has made some good calls, and has the experience too. I really hope it works out for him. I'm a big LH fan, and would love to see him finish his career on a high. Hopefully they will give him a car (and strategy) to win with next year, because I think that will probably be his last year in F1.

ReginaaPhalangee · 04/05/2025 23:38

Downside to me being at the race is they don’t play out the drivers radios so missed all the lewis chat! Will catch it on highlights!

we went to the podium though….!!!

photos not loading but will upload them when I get onto hotel WiFi

ReginaaPhalangee · 04/05/2025 23:50

Fab pics, George off to see the stewards.

F1LandoFan · 05/05/2025 07:41

ahh Reginaa! Thanks for all the amazing pics! Looks like it was an amazing weekend!

bluetongue · 05/05/2025 09:43

Sooo jealous. While Oscar is my number one driver I’m a bit of a fan of George and Lando and think they’re both a bit misunderstood. Had to watch Oscar and the Aussie anthem at 7,30am this morning before work. Set my alarm for 5.30am to watch the full race live. Can’t believe I haven’t watched F1 for over 6 years and now I’m obsessed. Still don’t understand these first corner rules though.

As well as Oscar is doing the other Aussie seems to be dead man walking. With so many rookies they were never all going to last the year sadly.

ReginaaPhalangee · 05/05/2025 15:29

It was a fantastic weekend. I’d do one thing differently though and have done the race at the start of the trip then head up to Orlando for a week,
rather than do it the other way. Full day here before flying home tonight at 10pm

Brazilianadventure · 05/05/2025 16:07

@ReginaaPhalangee you do need a rest after a race weekend. Have a good flight home.

I am so glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for the pics and updates.

Re; George, I did double check whether a driver had ever won the championship without winning a race. A couple won by only winning one race so the odds are incredibly long for George. He's very robust this season.

Brazilianadventure · 05/05/2025 16:33

It is a long shot for George but we still have 75% of the season to go. A good upgrade or two could make a difference.

I believe it will be either Lando or Oscar but I don’t think you can count out George and Max.

I think Keke Rosberg only won one race but the times were very different including the points system.

Sir Lewis at the Mer Gala, he does love his clothes

Met Gala must put glasses on and check the preview post

Wakemeuuuup · 06/05/2025 09:05

He was a co-host this year. I really hope Lewis can do well at Ferrari, probably next year, but when he retires he won't be short of work

Brazilianadventure · 06/05/2025 12:46

I love the Met Gala outfit. Lewis seems so much more rounded as a person since F1 stopped being everything. Even Jenson says this, for example on Sunday whilst the team radio was pointed he was being pragmatic by the time he was doing the interviews.

P1 - Matt and Timmy loved his team radio as did I. Kimi Raikkonen’s team radio is iconic. “Have a tea break while you’re at it” was classic.

Love the Met Gala clothes! I feel like more and more these days I see pictures of Lewis dressed up and he looks very sharp!

Aaaaaaaaaand I’m home 😭😭😭

midlandsmummy123 · 06/05/2025 20:43

Oliver Oakes resigned from Alpine - Flavio Briatore has taken over his TP role....Let's hope he doesn't get up to his old crashgate tricks.
