What's a Sleeve Shin Pad?!

Hi all,
My nephew has just asked for some sleeve shin pads! Haven't a notion what that means or which ones to get him.
Can anybody point me in the right direction please?
I have googled but that made me more confused!

Thanks for your help 😊

One of the ones you put on like a sock, rather than with straps? That’s what I’d assume.

Hi, yeah, I can see that from my Googling.
Have you bought some? Where did you get them from?

Literally anywhere that comes up on google. But the latest pair were from Decathlon.

As I said, we do have some :)

I would get him to clarify. He could mean the shin pads that are literally just the plastic bit of the shin pad (no calf strap). And then they wear a mesh sleeve with it.

My son wears these as he doesn't bother with the mesh bit and just puts the plastic part into his socks.

Fantastic! Thanks for your help.
I'd seen these but wasn't 100% sure if I was on the right track. :)

What age is he? For football, boys are quite funny about shin pads and usually want the tiniest possible ones, so he probably doesn’t mean the big ones that cover the whole shin.

I wonder if he means these ones from Gain the Edge. https://gaintheedgeofficial.com/products/shin-pads-sleeves

I personally would not order from their site because a few years ago DS really wanted their football socks (all the boys were wearing them!) and it seemed like a bit of a scam site, the kind where you unknowingly get signed up to a subscription and they start taking money out of your account regularly, or else the socks never arrive. I did order the exact same ones through Amazon in the end as that seemed a safer option. At least you can complain to Amazon then.

You should ask him exactly what he is after, imo, he could send you a pic.

Oh, that's good to know. I hadn't thought about that. I'll have a nose at the site. Appreciate it :)
