And just to say, whatever you think of Max, what a driver....

I agree Max, Lewis and Alonso are on another level. Particularly when they were/are in their prime.

Agree with this - but Max has a few years on Norris too.

I'm not a supporter of Max but while everyone else has been skating this weekend, I don't think I've seen him skid once?

I hope Ocon and Gasley manage to stay on the podium.

I really like Max but I was hoping Norris could take the championship to the wire, or even win it. Shame from that pov today. But incredible day from Max, brilliant stuff. Really enjoying this race.

@MercedesLeftWheelNut absolutely, and when Lando has more experience he might be better than Max, but he's just not there yet.

Much as it pains me to say it, Max is driver of the day by a long shot at the moment, I think!

And yes, it is a shame that the championship is probably effectively decided now. It would have been nice for it go on for a couple more races at least!

Rain classes

Without the free tyre change under the red flag the front 3 would probably be behind Norris. It's just been one of those races where the weather and strategy has swung in favour of some and made it a race to forget for others.

You might not like him or his tactics, but that's a championship winning drive from Verstappen today. Very impressive.

Oh god, Alonso sounds in so much pain!

Well driven Max. I think he did fastest lap after fastest lap for about 20 laps. Really impressive.

So pleased for Ocon, Gasley & Alpine.

Very happy for both Alpine lads. Neither put a foot wrong all race.

My disappointment at another Verstappen win and Lando and Lewis not doing that well is eased a lot by seeing Ocon and Gasly on the podium

Delighted for Esteban and for Pierre. They really deserved that!

I could hear the pain in that radio communication from Alonso about his back hurting. They have to sort out the porpoising and bouncing around. I mean these are the best of the best cars out there and they still cause that amount of discomfort for the drivers.

Such a pity that Max has further extended his lead in the driver's championship and that it looks almost over at this point.

No idea what to say about all that 😁

My nerves are a bit shot after the hectic qualifying and race. Think it's three weeks to Las Vegas. I'm sure the all the team members will be grateful for the break after that.

The Alpine joy makes the ridiculous weekend worth it. I'm not a Max or RBR fan, but no one can deny that he is a brilliant driver.
Sad for Lando and George that the pit stops were so badly timed. That's the drivers champonship done.

Actually thinking about it, had there not been the issues around Abu Dhabi 2021 or the continuing issues around cost caps being broken by RBR in 2022 and the penalties in '23, I think I could appreciate that this season Max has driven his socks off and probably does deserve to win the Driver's Championship this year with Lando making a good attempt at it so should be more secure in his driving style for '25.

I just can't get past the (at minimum) two Driver's Championships that Max has where there is an asterisk beside them because of how they were won.

Great result for Alpine - the financial implications are insane! Well done to Ocon & Gasly. Ocon had a great race.
I’m not a MV fan, but he did well today.

Jaysus - that's some set of Red, White and Blue flags flying behind them!

Just watching the podium, Mrs Horner, has been rather absent recently. She normally gets her "I'm a spice girl dontcha know" face everywhere.
That says a lot about the CH situation.
