Netball trainers please!

I’m in urgent need of new netball trainers as my old New Balances have no support left and need replacing.

I have a lot of foot issues and really need a very bouncy, supportive wide sole with loads of give. Both ankles are prone to rolling so I wear aircast braces without fail every match.

Summary of my very demanding, prematurely-ageing feet:
Size 8
Wide (thanks kids!)
Moderate PF left heel - really painful after matches
Bilateral bunions.

I won’t be doing any other high impact exercises such as running with the trainers, they’d just be for netball use .

I know this is an old thread, but wondering what you bought?
I desperately need new trainers, I'm just getting back to netball after breaking my ankle (again) whilst playing in June so in need of something supportive that accommodate my ankle braces too.

ASICS do netball trainers

ASICS do netball trainers

I know and I've had them in the past, but sometimes they can be lower on the ankle than other makes. Was interested what OP had gone for as she sounds like she has similar ankle issues to myself.
Thanks though. 😄

Hi I went for the ASICS gel Cumulus 25, I wear them with Aircast ankle splints and they are ok. Not as supportive and bouncy as when I first got thek
in July, but they’ve not aggravated my PF too much which is the main thing.

Asics told me all their netburners ( academy super ballistic professional) are for indoor netball.

outdoor they wear thin quickly /get slippy in wet. Academy hold up ish outdoors

mizuno do netball trainers as to gilbert but with less support ( same with outdoor tennis trainers)

netball trainers have a reinforced toe box. Cumulus are running really only.

wish wish someone would make decent outdoor netball trainers for the UK or bring back the older asics netburner professionalS ( they had numbers like 18, 19 after them)

They are mainly for indoors, a dozen games/training sessions in the summer would be outdoors.
I've been looking at a couple of Gilbert pairs but are they less supportive than ASICS or Mizuno do you know/think?
I feel like there's not much information on the right netball trainers (or I don't know where to look). Also doesn't help that I'm a size 9 so not always sizes available.

Depends what you mean by support…

preventing ankle roll over and ankle support all netball specific trainers are great including gilbert.

for that soft landing on a cloud feeling when you’ve pegged it and have leapt like a gazelle only to land like an elephant? Well only asics can offer that…

Ive resigned myself to paying for many asics a season. My tennis ones last outdoors well, the netball ones wear away super quick outdoors.

asics outlets often have size 9 and do mens sizes up to 13, and at least they are cheaper. Remember asics you have to go half a size up and they generally are narrow so maybe even two sizes up.
