Swim attire for 6 week old

I’m taking my daughter to a weekly swim/water confidence session, starting in Feb. She will be 6 weeks old when we start.

The guidance from the teacher says they need a disposable swim nappy with a neoprene nappy over the top. Can anyone recommend tried and tested products for both of these?

It’s in a heated pool, so I’m wondering if she will also need a top? If so, what sort of thing people recommend?

TIA!

Don't think there's much choice in swim nappies so just whatever you can buy in the supermarket, think Huggies is the main brand.

For My second DC I bought a neoprene wrap www.konfidence.co.uk/products/konfidence-babywarma-1?variant=42413645529250 Which was nice and easy to get on and off and made it easy to get a good grip on baby! you might still need a neoprene nappy cover too.

Have a look at Splash About @Gs31190. We bought their neoprene nappy and swim wrap 😊

At 6 weeks old even in a heated pool babies will need something to keep them warm - it unlikely to be more than 33’C which is much cooler than you’d make a bath for example. Look at Splash About Warm in Ones - they are fleece lined wetsuits. Pair this with a splash about happy nappy to contain poop. You can get both on Vinted/second hand for a few pounds, no need to buy new unless you want to!

Happy nappy outer - most pools are non negotiable on that.

I would get a reusable nappy to go underneath to save money - I like the tots bots ones but they're all much of a muchness.

Depends on temperature of pool re needing a top although you can get some happy nappy all in ones which you only need a disposable/ reusable nappy underneath.

Hi, Huggies swim nappy, a 'Happy Nappy' they are about £12 and definitely a baby wetsuit of some description, we had the JoJo Maman Bebe wrap ones as so easy to dress and undress! Even a heated pool is so cold for a baby! Enjoy!
