Ice Hockey

My teen DD wants to try ice hockey - does anyone have any idea where children can learn this sport? North of England ideally but I'm guessing we can't be too choosy!

Look at your nearest ice rink, our local ones each have a team. Or emigrate to Canada 🇨🇦

Our local ice rink is Blackpool but there's no ice hockey there. Hot ice shows and ice pantos yes!

You'd have to google & phone etc. there is a club in Manchester but you'd not want to go that far!

We're in the north west, our DD did some skating lessons at the Blackburn rink, looks like they teach hockey too

It’s a great sport but can be pricey to get all the protective gear. I was lucky to find a complete used set on eBay.
if you’re near Blackpool then you could get in touch with Als skate shop. They sell hockey gear and have a great reputation so would possibly be able to give you some contacts?

Ice Sheffield have lessons. Also a junior league team and lots of interest in ice hockey.
