Waterproof MP3 player for swimming?

DD is a keen swimmer and she's asked for something which she can use to listen to music while she's swimming.

She likes a mix of music, podcasts and audiobooks - I've had a look - and you can get waterproof cases for your phone, but I'm not sure i'd trust that.

Has anyone used one of those waterproof MP3 players? Are they a faff? Any recommendations?

I have a waterproof case from Amazon for my phone. I regularly use it in the sea and it's been fine. It was about £8.

I've used a Sony NW-WS410 player a couple of times a week for over 5 years.
Bit clunky loading music, no screen have to copy and paste music files, but stays put in water, and means I can really switch off and get in the zone.
I also wear them cycling on bike paths.
