Post swimming dressing gown?

We swim a lot, but the walk from the pool back to the changing rooms is incredibly cold (I’m sensitive to cold due to medical issues). I’m hoping to find a lightweight dressing gown that I can put on straight over my swimsuit, with a hood, so I can stay warm. Preferably microfibre so it will also get me dry. It feels like a really obvious thing to warm up easily after swimming but all I can find are huge dry robes etc which would look ridiculous in a busy pool! Any suggestions?

What about a dry robe or similar? Or an Oodie type thing.

A towelling poncho with a hood?

This sort of thing www.decathlon.co.uk/p/adult-poncho-surf-500-print-fish/_/R-p-330009

If you don't want a dry robe you'll be better off with a microfibre towel or hamman towel. I've never seen a microfibre dressing gown.

Would u swim in a shortie or v thin wet suit?

JustKeepSwimmingJust · 27/12/2021 09:24

I made a sleeveless dressing gown from a couple of Aldi microfibres towels. Does the job!

What about a changing towel? A lot of the surf type brands do them. Google changing towel/surf changing towel/changing robe

Yeah I just don’t like the ponchos, they seem difficult to get on and off when I’m already wet?

Maybe swimming in a shortie would keep me warmer?

Now that sounds perfect but I can’t find it online, don’t suppose you know the name or exactly what they call it please?

I know you said you don't like ponchos but posting this just in case... I got this one for my daughter as she was always freezing after swimming. She was delighted with it and says it's really warm. It's adult size (I ordered by mistake!) and would probably be below the knees on an average sized adult.

I outdoor swim and have a cheaper version of a dryrobe, it's brilliant!
