Leicester has been doing the same. Covid cases, fair enough. Injuries, just no. Play the youngsters.

Oh and welcome to the thread RunningFromInsanity

Big Dunc will do. (I changed to this username during the last weeks of Silva Grin)
No idea who could come in though.

Agree clubs are starting to take the piss now. Liverpool were allowed to postpone their 1st leg of the EFL cup yet when Leyton Orient did it last year due to COVID cases they had to forfeit their place.

Bayern Munich's bench last week consisted of players who hadn't made a single Bundesliga appearance yet they still played.....

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 15/01/2022 20:01

The whole rules are bonkers now. From what was reported earlier Arsenal apparently have one or two cases which means they fall under the rules. Yet if they just had injuries they'd had to play anyway? Getting a bit silly now

Yeah, he'll get them fired up for a few games, don't think he's a long term option.....but who knows ??

There's a decent team there when everyone is fit and up to speed, just too many individual errors are costing us, and changing formations every couple of games isn't helping......players just look confused sometimes.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 15/01/2022 23:24

@DuncinToffee

He has to go

I really have nothing else to say

Rumours coming through its been done.. and also links with Rooney.. not sure about that one.if true.
DuncinToffee · 15/01/2022 23:39

Yes, I have seen the same rumours.Apperently just the financials to be agreed. I am not sure about the Rooney link either.

Duncan Ferguson as caretaker manager with Leighton Baines as his assistant until a new manager is appointed

Can’t believe I’ve only just found this thread! I’m a local Cambridge United fan so obviously had the best day of my life recently when we not Newcastle and out of the FA Cup. Running you were doing so pwell with your Cambridge choice....

Well done Brighton

It avoids the Benitez/Gerrard reunion for the next home game, and at least gets the fans back on side 👍

The place would have been toxic had he of stayed, but what's done is done.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 26/01/2022 17:57

Not sure about Lampard as manager choice..especially given the situation and all.

DuncinToffee · 26/01/2022 18:49

Yeah I am not sure either. Pereira is a big no from the majority of fans (I hadn't heard of him really bit his cv doesn't look good)

Watford swapped Ranieri for Hodgson

Bloody Watford, I love Roy, always quietly support whoever he manages but Watford is a step too far. (Did read that by 2029 everyone in the country with be 3ft away from a Watford manager Grin )

AndNobbyDancing · 26/01/2022 19:39

I did feel Chelsea should have given Lampard more time. Whomever they choose Everton need a manager that the fans want.

I liked the post from SpecSavers - you should have an eye test once every 4 Watford Managers Grin
DuncinToffee · 31/01/2022 15:07

Frank Lampard is now confirmed as the Everton manager.
Fans seem to be in agreement that it is a good choice so that will do for me Smile

OP posts:
burblish · 31/01/2022 20:55

@DuncinToffee - sounds like Lampard will bring good energy with him (an antidote to Rafa!) and it’s also positive that Big Dunc is sticking around. (Despite being a Liverpool fan, I’ve had a soft spot for Dunc since his Rangers days!)

Anyone else spending the evening glued to the transfer deadline day news? I’m really happy that Liverpool landed Luis Diaz and would like us to nab Fabio Carvalho. It’s lovely to see Christian Eriksen back in the game, too.

Oblomov22 · 31/01/2022 21:00

Wow. The video from girlfriend was horrible.
Transfer window is exciting.

WhiteHartLane · 31/01/2022 21:14

Yes I am listening to the transfers now, pleased with the 2 Juventus lads Spurs have signed, a defender would be nice too Grin. N'Dembele, Lo Celso and Gil out. Alli looks set for Everton too - hopefully Lampard can get the best out of him again, he lost his way at Spurs and fell out of of favour with Poch sadly.
Very happy for Erikson, nice to see him back in the PL.

Gillingham have a new Manager - Neil Harris (ex Cardiff) - lets hope he can keep them in League 1 and please no repeat of the 7-2 hammering they endured Saturday

DuncinToffee · 31/01/2022 21:19

Donny vd Beek and it looks like Dele Alli, I am ok with that. Lampard and good energy, yes there is a positive feeling going round.

Luis Diaz is an exciting player for Liverpool

Horrible that video Sad

OP posts:
burblish · 31/01/2022 23:29

Gah, so annoying that the Carvalho deal didn’t get over the line in time.

(As for that video…I felt sick listening to the audio. I hope she gets justice.)
