Especially if I am very overweight. Would like to do something that doesn't involve the gym. Is 53 too old to start?

Of course not! I started running in my early 50s, doing Couch to 5K. I highly recommend it as it's a gentle introduction. You'll be surprised what your body can do.

Definitely not. I know someone who started later than that. She's even done a half marathon!

Nope! My mum is 61 and overweight - started last week and loving it.

Thank you - will dig out my sports bra and trainers

Not at all! Couch to 5k is brilliant. Try to make sure you have good trainers that support you properly! And a decent sports bra, very important 👍
