What sport would be best with hyper mobility

Just what the title says really, I’d like to pick up a sport/fitness activity but have hyper mobile joints that set me back

I was a competitive dancer as a child which was fine but after all these years it’s not something I’d get back into. I’m in my late 20’s, all the people around me seem to be doing weights/CrossFit but I can’t even play a round of bowling without my finger joints going and I stop being able to grasp (so doubt I’d be able to keep hold of a weight/bar if I wanted to).

Anything but running/cycling Smile If anyone here also has the same kind of condition and has any tips that would also be great!

I'm also hyper-mobile OP....like you I was a professional performer and it took it's toll! I honestly think the only things are swimming, cycling or yoga.

Everything else causes too much pain. Personally I like cycling as I get bored with swimming and yoga....I like speed. But you say not cycling....you've got to protect your joints though. Anything with impact will hurt/cause damage.

You could look at some of the softer martial arts...Tai Chi for instance.

Roller blading/skating?
If you get some lessons and the proper pads (knee & elbow pads and wrist guards) as well as a helmet you should be fine as it puts no stress on the joints (unless you fall over!) and you can go fast indoors and out.
You can get lessons on how to skate safely in the streets. You can even do dance on skates.
I’m Hypermobile and love to skate.

Skating isn't good Borninastorm. There are always falls and wrenches as you almost fall and try to save yourself. Well at least I find it too much. I've been in agony following ice skating.
