So I went spinning last week, for the first time, and I can't believe how uncomfortable the seat was 😩😩

Are they all this uncomfy or is it just because of my fat arse?!

Is there anything you can buy to help or will it just become more comfortable the more I do it?

Luckily, it's only a 45 minute class rather than an hour.. that 15 minutes makes all the difference 😂😂

Padded cycling shorts?

I haven't done a spin class, but guessing they would help a bit.

Wonder if they make it so uncomfortable so you'll not sit as much... that would be a bit evil of them.

JustBeenNosey · 19/05/2019 11:47

@StillRunningWithScissors ah yes!! Never thought of that..

Well it was my first go so I'm going to try again on Wednesday and see.

There was a lot of standing up and sitting down but I ended up just standing up to rest rather than sitting down.
My feet also felt weird in the straps on the pedals but I suppose I will get used to it 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️😂

You can also get gel seat covers that you can just put on and take off as you want.

Like this sort of thing

JustBeenNosey · 19/05/2019 11:54

@Furball thank you!

have you ever used one?

Gel covers are useful, but because they stay still while you move they're nowhere near as good as padded cycle shorts. Particularly when spinning. Padded shorts will reduce friction damage to near nothing, and reduce bruising significantly.

Neither will do anything about sore muscles - that's exercise for ya!

Sweetooth92 · 19/05/2019 12:11

You’ll get used too it in time! After a few weeks you don’t notice/adjust

JustBeenNosey · 19/05/2019 12:26

@SpoonBlender thank you.

It isn't sore muscles, I'm used to that anyway 😂 it's the seat that's uncomfortable on my arse 😂😂

@Sweetooth92 fingers crossed!

Sudocrem between the bum cheeks. Prevents chaffing.

Sweetooth92 · 19/05/2019 12:30

The first few times it killed me-now I only feel it when I’ve not been for longer than a week or so. It’s surprising how quickly you adjust.

JustBeenNosey · 19/05/2019 13:34

@MashedSpud thank you haha it's not that.. it's just the seat on the bike is so uncomfy!

@Sweetooth92 I best get booked back on then on Wednesday 😂😂
