Yoga: Diastasis Recti

Hey!

So i'll be honest, i'm not a mother (yet) but I am a nanny for 4 amazing children (1yo, 4yo, 9yo and 10yo) But I am also a yoga teacher, I teach Yin Yang yoga and myofasical release.

At present one of my students is suffering with diastasis recti, and I know it can affect a lot of pregnant women and mothers (can also affect men though) I just wanted to recommend a BRILLIANT book, I've been using a lot of the exercises in it to help my student and for those suffering it really is a proactive and simple way to begin healing yourself!

The book is by Katy Bowman and is called Diastasis Recti: The Whole Body Solution to Abdominal Weakness. (sounds boring but is actually really funny and well written) it's available on Amazon, I have since bought a book for my student to keep.

Many thanks! :)

Thankyou ill take a look at that. Ive bought my seperated muscles in alot through special excercises and have been discharged from physio. I still have a one finger gap though and so cannot do notmal excercise again. Id love to try yoga to do as a whole body workout that wpnt effect my abdominals. Any tips on which positions i need to avoid? Much appreciated xx
