app to help me track my run?

I have a new smart phone which is going to be my friend in the fight against middle aged speed!

Any recommendations for an app (free would be nice!) which lets me know how far my phone has travelled if it comes along with me on my run?

I like Runkeeper. Maps your route and gives average speeds too. Free for android phones.

Runtastic is brill. It gives you all your splits as well as average times, elevations etc, but it also shows a map of where you have run with a colour code of where you ran slower/quicker! And the summary is well laid out so you can track your progress.
