Arriving late - panicking!

Despite getting up at the crack of dawn, south eastern trains (being unable to run an orgy in a brothel) have screwed up to the extent we won't be getting into Stratford till 9.43 and need to get to the stadium for the athletics starting at 10. Has anyone else arrived late and been ok? Am terrified we won't be let in and even if we are, everyone will hate us for clambering over them to our seats!

You will be fine. People were arriving up to 1 hour late or more for Equestrian yesterday. People do have to move in and out anyway for the toilet etc. either they let you in or there are regular breaks, but less bother about a little noise upsetting the competitors with Athletics.

Please don't be rude though, there was a couple ahead of us in the ticket collection queue at Stratford yesterday who swore a lot at the length of queue as their event was just about to start, they should have got their earlier really, but they got served just like everyone in about 5-10 minutes.

You'll be fine - people go in and out of the events all the time.

I'm never rude! (well, except about south eastern ;) ) thanks so much, you've really helped put my mind at rest. Now just to stop the DCs from murdering each other before we get there...

I'm not getting to London until 10am on Monday and will then have to get the Javelin to Stratford, so by the time we're in the stadium it'll be closer to 11am. Nothing I can do though as earlier trains were so expensive we couldn't afford to get there any earlier. I'm sure it'll be fine and we'll still get to see two hours of athletics.

Cheers - feel a bit dim now but it was my first time in a stadium and I hadn't realised how close the the exits we'd be or how much drifting in and out would be going on! Queues were non-existent and we were actually in our seats pretty much at 10. Fantastic morning :)

Don't worry - they will let you in.

Actually, you will be amazed as you sit in the stadium that people are always on the move.

Nothing to worry about at all, my friend arrived in the stadium today at about 10.45am and then there were still people arriving later then her.
