Anybody fancy a Paralympic countdown thread?

The Olympics may be over, but we've still got the Paralympics to come Smile

Really, really excited, I wanted to get tickets to see something but I start a new job in a different city as it starts, so won't make any of it Sad hopefully the coverage will be as good as it has been for the Olympics.

Anyone going down to see stuff? Also, anyone know the routes of the torch/torches? I found it hard to work out on the official website Blush

WorraLiberty · 29/08/2012 11:25

And the Torch still looks like a spliff! Grin

JessieQ · 29/08/2012 12:13

I might try and get tickets as they are released during the course of the Paralympics but I have to say, I tried this for the Olympics and despite having tickets in my basket and apparently 'processing' several times, I was never successful at getting tickets in this way!

Did anyone else manage to during the Olympics?

EduCated · 29/08/2012 12:22

This >> Grin Torch looks very spiff like!

Sadly as I start a new job Monday I can't go Sad I shall just be watching lots of telly instead Grin

Taking the children to see the Boccia on tuesday - only thing left as I didn't get my act together in time! I know pretty much nothing about it though - anyone got any insights?

mummytime · 29/08/2012 18:18

Yes! And discount rail travel for those outside zones 1-9. We're going to Equestrian tomorrow, and 7 a side football on Monday.

BelleTheParalympicBeatnik · 29/08/2012 18:22

I'm so excited Grin

I've rallied the troops DC in the living room for a pre-Opening Ceremony picnic in the living room. Torch

Motherofsurburbia - check out the C4 page on Boccia. Its incredibly tactical

NCForNow · 29/08/2012 18:41

Can I just pop in to say MY NIECE IS COMPETING!! and I am so proud. I can't wait! I keep crying every time the Paralympics is mentioned on telly or radio!

mummytime · 29/08/2012 18:49

Try to use this website, the tickets are cheaper than just buying a ticket at the station to the edge of the zone, and can be picked up free from ticket machines. Eg. Tomorrow my ticket to the edge of the zone would cost £6.60, the ticket I bought for the Paralympics cost £2.90. There are also fewer restrictions.
