Anybody fancy a Paralympic countdown thread?

The Olympics may be over, but we've still got the Paralympics to come

Really, really excited, I wanted to get tickets to see something but I start a new job in a different city as it starts, so won't make any of it hopefully the coverage will be as good as it has been for the Olympics.

Anyone going down to see stuff? Also, anyone know the routes of the torch/torches? I found it hard to work out on the official website

The Jon Snow Paralympic Show is on every night at 7.30 on C4 - a great warm up (other than the Olympics themselves ) for proceedings. Have watched both so far this week. Also going to try and get to one of the torch events.

Have you all seen the C4 promo 'Meet the Superhumans'?

She was lovely too. I didn't know any of that story before watching it on BBC. Just brilliant.

I have 7-a-side football (will see GB!) and athletics tickets for 5th September - just bought my t-shirt from Sainsbos. Want to pack my (medium size!) bag and go now!!!

Still some tickets coming out, including some for the athletics finals, but those were 2 hours ago so missed them. Anyone know if today is the last day for ticket releases?

Super excited for the Opening Ceremony

I will be watching the sprints with keen interest.

I think we get to see him on the morning of the 8th, there's some 100m, 200m and 400m relay heats that day. . I have to keep telling myself he's not actually British so I must remember to cheer for our lads too.

Nearly there

Watched 'Best of Men' with DC on Monday after seeing the paralympic flame arrive locally. DD (9) loved it as much as I did, DS (6) was a bit nonplussed but has talked about it quite a bit since.
Off to find local-ish golden postbox today and fire myself the children up even more :)
Have swimming tickets for Monday and athletics for Wednesday (not that its the first day back at school at all, oh no)

i'm really excited too! we hve tickets for the ceremony tonight, I hope it will be as amazing as they say.
