Does this toe look infected or not?
Had toe nail removal surgery this is day 6.

My sons looked like this after he had his done and it wasnt infected. Unfortunately it looks unpleasant for a good while before it gets better!

No, it doesn’t look infected. It looks exactly as gross as I’d expect a toe to look a few days after the toenail was removed, and I certainly sympathise as I can imagine how sore it must be, but not infected.

It looks more red raw than infected and yellow to me.

It must be painful regardless though and could easily get infected. Can it be covered comfortably?

No I have finished healing after this and looks bad for a long time until all the healing and skin layers have sorted themselves. Now mine is all normal looking again but took a few weeks
