I had a large lipoma removed last week from the back of my head.

I have a photo of what was removed but it’s quite gory (even for Sporners’ Corner!)

Would anyone like to see it?

I think you know the answer to that! This is sporner corner after all. Yours in anticipation.
ps hope you’re feeling ok after your procedure

Latenightreader · 04/03/2026 11:03

I can't believe you are asking when the answer is obviously 'yes please'!

Hope you are healing well.

redredrednow · 04/03/2026 11:04

Did you have it removed privately? Dh has one but the nhs wait time is lonnggg

dementedpixie · 04/03/2026 11:13

So it was a fatty lump (lipoma) rather than a pilar cyst (has mushy looking skin cells in it)?
We want to see whatever it is you had removed anyway

Dextersgoneovertherainbowbridge · 04/03/2026 11:18

Hell yeah!

MassiveOvaryaction · 04/03/2026 12:19

Yep, thats a lipoma!

Unpaidworkmakestheeconomytick · 04/03/2026 16:45

I have them on my arms all around my elbow joint. But nhs say it’s my not a medical need. They are horrible though and disfiguring. I only wear long sleeves. Can I ask how much yours cost?

It was definitely a lipoma- I had it removed a few years ago on the NHS and biopsied but they did a rubbish job and it came back.

I paid £4.5k for the lipoma removal and upper bleph under LA.

Mine was the size of a grapefruit! Nestled quite neatly in my shoulder blade.
