It looks white/grey purple and it’s completely flat. Doesn’t hurt nor sting.

White and no pain could be an indication of really deep tissue damage. How big and where?

CVVFan · 25/09/2025 21:38

Very small, maybe the size of a raisin? On my knuckle

Obviously impossible to say without a proper assessment but in general, burns that hurt are good it means your nerve endings are intact.

I assume you did basic first aid ran it under the tap for 20 minutes and you know the signs of infection. I would pop to a MIU to get in checked out tomorrow as the pp says hand burns can be more serious

CVVFan · 25/09/2025 21:52

Yeah I once burnt myself while finger hand in a fryer that one my bones hurt because it was that deep. This one almost feels like it was like those cow iron marker thingies

How did you do it?

By touching a copper pot for like 30secs (maybe a bit longer)

That’s a ridiculous length of time OP!
Do you have diminished sensation in your fingers? If so, that needs investigating.

Oh no I did, and I was fully aware of it, but it was that or dropping the pasta in the oven, but I did paralyse a little bit!

today I have what looks like a blister with a VERY thick layer of skin on top

This needs assessing because of the lack of pain and the location on a knuckle. I would go to your local minor injuries/walk in centre or, if you don’t have either, it’s an A&E job. Even with an MIU or walk in centre, expect to be referred to hospital for proper assessment

This is how it looks today

I’d ignore that, to be honest.

Hohofortherobbers · 26/09/2025 23:12

Yeah, I'd ignore that. Take your beautiful ring off though in case the fingers swells or a large blister develops, would be a shame to have to cut it off, its gorgeous 😍
